& MicroFridge FAQ's
Here are some
common questions students have for us at RackRaiser. If your

How high
does a RackRaiser raise the bed?
The frame of
the bed sits on top of the RackRaiser giving 20 or 25 inches of
clearance under the bed, depending on size of RackRaiser ordered.
What colors
are available for the RackRaiser?
The RackRaiser
only comes in black.
Do I need
tools to assemble the RackRaiser?
No tools are needed.
Bolts are handtightened.
How long
will it take to ship an order?
Most orders
will be prepared for shipping within 48 hours and should be
received within 2 weeks. Orders are shipped via UPS ground. If order is not received within 2 weeks of purchase
please e-mail us info@rackraiser.com or
call 978-774-9298 and notify the office. (Please have your order
number handy)
Can an
order be shipped overnight?
Yes, overnight and 2 day shipping are options available
when placing order.
Can I
cancel my order?
There is a 30 day money
back guarantee for purchase price. Shipping is not refunded. Phone
orders may already have been shipped if cancelled after 1pm and
order placed originally before 1pm. If a cancelled order has been
shipped you must follow the procedure for a return. Orders being
held for on campus pick up may be cancelled by phone before August
24 or on campus by a RackRaiser representative.
How do
I return an item?
Any item returned within 30 days of purchase does
not need approval. Orders
placed between June and September may be returned by Oct 20 without
approval
allowing a "graceperiod" for students to move in to their
rooms. The
address for returns is 112 Burley St, Danvers, MA 01923.
When will
I get my refund?
Refunds are issued
within 30 days of receipt of returned merchandise.
Can I
pick up my RackRaiser early?
Pick up dates have been
arranged with each school and cannot be changed. If you are unable
to pick up the RackRaiser on scheduled date, other arrangements
should be made ( either have a roommate or friend pick it up or
ship it home).
Can I
ship the RackRaiser directly to school?
Most schools
ask that students do not ship to school addresses prior to student
arrival on campus. Please obtain authorization from school before
having items shipped to school address before scheduled move in.
What kind
of beds fit the RackRaiser?
The RackRaiser
was originally designed for use on “cot style” beds
often found in universities. These beds have a one solid piece
frame. However the RackRaiser does fit other beds wit the following
specifications:
-legs of the
bed need to be less than 2 ½ inches in diameter.
-legs should be more
than 4 inches long
-legs must be straight
(no cone shaped legs as found on some bed frame)
-the frame sits on the
RackRaiser so one should see if this will cause head or foot board
to unhook.
- RackRaiser fits bed
with crossbars (bars running between legs of head or foot board)
The crossbar needs to be placed in the cut out on the RackRaiser.
MICROFRIDGE FAQ How Do I Cancel A Microfridge Rental?
Cancellation - The student may cancel a MicroFridge
rental by submitting a written request to RackRaiser, 301 Newbury
Street Suite 292, Danvers, MA 01923, postmarked on or before September
20, 2007. MicroFridge order will be cancelled after the student
returns the MicroFridge to RackRaiser.
Can I Receive A Refund For A Microfridge Rental?
Full refunds will be processed for cancellations postmarked
on or before September 20, 2007. There are no refunds after September
20, 2007. There is no pro-rating of rental fees.
Can I transfer my Microfridge to another student?
The MicroFridge unit is assigned
to the student who completes the rental agreement. The responsibility
of the MicroFridge can be transferred to another student by having
that student complete a rental agreement. The new rental agreement
must include the unit number of the MicroFridge to be transferred
and the new location of the MicroFridge.
What happens if I move the MicroFridge?
The student responsible for the
MicroFridge must notify RackRaiser if the student has moved the
unit. If RackRaiser
must move the unit for the student $20.00 fee will be charged.
Do I need
to clean the MicroFridge prior to returning?
YES. Defrost by unplugging 24 hours before pick up
date and wiping clean. 25.00 fee is assessed for any fridge that
is not
cleaned out.
What happens if my MicroFridge get lost or stolen
or gets damaged?
The student is responsible for the
replacement cost for the MicroFridge if the unit is lost or stolen
and for any repairs or damages that are not the result of normal
wear and tear. RackRaiser shall not be responsible for any loss
and damage, including personal injury, caused, directly or indirectly,
by misuse or abuse of the unit other than by RackRaiser personnel.
How do I get my MicroFridge repaired?
Repairs to the MicroFridge that
are attributed to normal wear and tear or defective parts are the
responsibility of RackRaiser. If MicroFridge unit malfunctions,
RackRaiser will deliver a replacement unit to the student's room
