MicroFridge Unit--MicroFridges are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limited inventory. RackRaiser's receipt of a completed rental agreement does not guarantee a MicroFridge. The MicroFridge is available on a rental arrangement only. If both roommates order a MicroFridge for one room, the second order will be cancelled and a refund will be sent to the home address.
Term/Rental Fee--Rental is for both the fall and spring semesters of the academic year. The rental fee is $225.00. plus Massachusetts sales tax. This fee includes delivery.
Delivery—Whenever possible MicroFridges will be delivered to Boston College rooms before students arrive. Note: If order is received after scheduled Microfridge deliveries have been made we will call the student to arrange delivery within 1 week of ordering, or return to school. Scheduled Microfridge deliveries are as follows: Boston College Aug 27.
Cancellation--The student may cancel a MicroFridge rental by submitting a written request to RackRaiser, 301 Newbury Street, Suite 292, Danvers, MA 01923, postmarked on or before September 15, 2010. MicroFridge order will be cancelled after student returns the MicroFridge to RackRaiser. There is a $25.00 processing/trucking fee for all cancelled MicroFridges that have been delivered.
Refunds--Refunds will be processed for cancellations postmarked on or before September 15, 2010. There are no refunds after September 15, 2010. There is no prorating of rental fees.
Assignments/Transfers - The MicroFridge unit is assigned to the student who completes the rental agreement. The responsibility for the MicroFridge can be transferred to another student by having that student complete a rental agreement on-line. The new rental agreement must include the unit number of the MicroFridge to be transferred and the new location of the MicroFridge.
Room Changes - The student responsible for the MicroFridge must notify RackRaiser if the student had moved the unit. If RackRaiser must move the unit for the student, a $25.00 fee will be charged.
Loss/Damage - The student is responsible for the replacement cost of the MicroFridge if the unit is lost or stolen and for any repairs or damages that are not the result of normal wear and tear. RackRaiser shall not be responsible for any loss and damage, including personal injury, caused, directly or indirectly, by misuse or abuse of the unit other than by RackRaiser personnel.
Routine Repairs - Repairs to the MicroFridge that are attributed to normal wear and tear or defective parts are the responsibility of RackRaiser. If the MicroFridge unit malfunctions, RackRaiser will deliver a replacement unit to the student's room at no cost. For service issues call Paul at 781-838-2126 or e-mail us at www.RackRaiser.com.
Returns at the End of the Academic Year - Early pick up can be scheduled by calling
RackRaiser (978) 766-9938 or sending an e-mail through http://www.rackraiser.com/ If the MicroFridge unit has not been picked up by
RackRaiser before the student leaves campus, then the student must leave the MicroFridge in his or her assigned room and make sure the door is locked when he or she departs. Students are responsible for the cleanliness of the MicroFridge unit.
If the unit is not clean at the time of pick up, the student is subject to a $25 charge.
